Robert del Valle's write up in Real Detroit Weekly 's Stage & Canvas from July 8, 2009:
Light at Dawn
Angelica M. Busque intrigues us. There’s that impressive curriculum vitae with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago mentioned, the book designs, the awards — but our chief interest focused on a self-published graphic novel series entitled Morning Star that has succeeded in earning respectful kudos from other artists working in the same genre. That’s an awful lot of talent for one resume, so here’s hoping that the Woods Gallery has enough space and enough time to give Busque and her Illustrated Works their due between now and August 20. 26415 Scotia in Huntington Woods. 248.581.2696.

- The NEWS section will now be updated through blogspot.
- After living in Chicago for ten years, I have moved back to my hometown of Madison Heights, MI and have begun working on projects in my new work space, which is located in my childhood home.
- My first taste as a Detroit local artist (after ten years) was had at Community Legal Resources Ten Year Anniversary/Annual Event on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd, 2008 in the Guardian Building in downtown Detroit. Community Legal Resources connects lawyers and communities by fostering pro bono legal representation for unfulfilled legal needs of nonprofit community organizations in Michigan that serve low-income individuals and communities, with an emphasis on community economic development activities. In honor of CLR's 10th Anniversary they had commissioned me to create prints to be awarded to the law firms and lawyers who volunteered their services to make a better Detroit.
- Planning to use my AmeriCorps Education Award to enroll myself in the dual certificate program in web design and graphic design at the College for Creative Studies OR to take business management classes at a local college.
- Making long-term goals in starting up my own business painting children's murals.
- Began storyboarding for Morning Star: Comics & Stuff, Issue #4--I am planning to change the name of Morning Star to something else.
